Lost mine after installing a VGA silencer, but I'm not too happy with its performance, looks like the stock heatsink was doing a better job. Does anybody have one they'd like to sell?

THe VGA silencer does a MUCH better job. If you relaly want contact w/ the core, make sure to remove the core shim, and apply some AS5/Ceramique onto the core.

Heat transfer is fine, the heatsink gets quite hot, so it must be doing its job. The problem is, I was able to overclock higher with the stock cooler. Also, the stock cooler included integrated ramsinks.

intergrated ram sinks are a farse.......how can u properly cool two devices of different heat with the same piece of metal?

all thats gonna happen is the hottest component is gonna dump heat on the coolest component..it should be seperate ram sinks and seperate GPU sinks

Buy the Zalman ZM80C-HP heatsink with the optional fan. I cools my 9800P extremely well and I can OC like crazy with the fan.

I'm with you on that, I don't think my VGA silencer really does anything either, and I broke one of the pins on the stock Heatsink, I don't even really think it is that much quieter, IMO. TO fix the core shim problem I sanded it down on both sides, then I didn't have to touch the shim as it is really stuck on the cpu.
