The lowest price I found thru pricewatch is 90 and above. Thru CNET, it was 99 and above. Anyone has a better deal to suggest or is that with HP everyone has to sing about the same song! Any help is much appreciated, especially that I need this printer for tax season because it works with DOS accounting packages. Thanks.

Staples has it, you can pricematch somewhere and use a coupon floating around as well as there is a rebate on the printer also. dont know if its still valid but last time i checked a few days ago it was. so it really comes down to around 70 to 80 after the whole deal. i did it for my gf 3 weeks ago. should be still valid.

Perhaps not. "Hot Deals" could mean "here is one" OR "Where can I get one", don't you think so? It is like friendship, it is good only if it is a two-way street.

No, I don't think it is. Rules are rules. If it was like friendship, Neo wouldn't have lost his job. Friends don't get friends fired.

Thanks. There are three outfits, all in CA, offering it for $99 but they want $25 for shipping. Yes, I know there is mail in rebate of $30 valid until April 14 I believe. My issue is that I did not anticipate this need (to print DOS programs output) and therefore any expense is unwelcome at this stage. But I need to get it (versus going for the 610 that is offered at a clearance price of $49 plus shipping).

If there is a rule, I was not and am not aware of it. Of course, I do not want anyone fired on my account. In my career, it was always the hardest thing to do, fire someone even when warranted.
