Yes, another HELP IM A NOOB post. I dont think Im a total noob, but assistance is always a good thing.

I currently have an Asus 9800xt and I believe it's on its way out. I don't have the coin to replace the mobo, proc and mem ( which if I were to go pci Id go all new and say F Intel and go AMD :p) Since Im not spending the dough on that, I can spend the money on an AGP card.

So, balls to the walls, which agp card should I go and I do not OC.

Thanks for the help !

wait, if it isnt an issue, why not just get a new system completely? or its not an issue meaning, you have enough money for the best agp card, the X850xtpe?

Please search for the other 8 bazillion threads from people who want to buy AGP cards. :p

Possible upgrades from a 9800Pro/XT are (in increasing and rougly matched-up speed) the GeForce 6600GT/RADEON X800, GF6800/RX800GTO/RX800Pro, GF6800GT/RX800XL/RX850Pro, and GF6800U/RX800XT/RX850XT.

Right, where I can afford the best AGP card. Knowing my style I can have mediocre hardware at the expense of going pci .. and irt Matthais, Ive spent the last 30 mins on the forums searching. Isn't this the time where everyone needs instant gratification ? x)

Not really, they're the same card with different stock speeds. Get the x850xt from microcenter and overclock it to PE speeds if you want it. The difference isn't worth the $100.
