Can we put WTB back with FS/T.

People are having a hard time finding items.

Traders selling items don't seem to venture to the WTB section.

Moved from FS/FT forum - Tates/Moderator

Once problem with the split groups is cross posting. The issue in general with WTB is that most of the threads are created when there's plenty of product available for sale.

Someone saying "WTB - DDR2 memory" should just search the for sale forum instead of just posting a WTB. I see the WTB forum as a place for things that may not be easily found or for things that are very specific.

I happen to like a separate WTB section. The FS section used to be plugged up with wtb items and now it's cleaner. We should give it some time for peeps to get used to it.

I hate it, takes more time and I don't use this forum near as much as I used too. Not much at all anymore as a matter of fact

I find placeing a WTB AD anymore doesnt get the amount of traffic as haveing it in the FS trade section . My offers are very few this way and yes I do search the FS section prior to posting. I find that there is alot of people out there with items that they would sell to you if they seen your WTB AD however they are generally looking to purchase something so dont frequent the WTB section to sell you that item .

We will be comparing user comments now and what those same members said previously in the thread on splitting up the FS/WTB forum.

I like a seperation of the two forums, I have one tab open for each, and refresh both. It's much easier to see what people are looking for with a seperate WTB forum, and also easier to search if you have a specific item for sale. For example, I just got in a few Socket A boards, did a search in WTB, and quickly found someone looking for the specific boards I had. If the forums were still together, that WTB thread would've been buried probably 10 pages deep, and I wouldn't have seen it.

If you're worried about your thread not getting as much visability, make sure to clearly link to it from your FS thread, as it'll drive more traffic to it that way.

I hate it. No real reason to split it up. Maybe if you want to split sections have a For Trade only section.

I am not a fan of separate Forums either. I have been looking for a laptop hard drive for a couple of weeks now. I searched the FS Forum for a hard drive for a week prior to that. I agree with Jen that the WTB Forum does not get nearly as much traffic as the FS Forum. I also agree with bababooey that it's a little early to make a decision on separate Forums.

I like having seperate forums. Seems more organized and I love not getting WTB hits when searching for something FS/vice versa,

Not a fan here either. Poll maybe? Does anyone care? I used to find that when I was browsing for stuff I needed, I would come across a post and go "yeah I have that" and then send the person an offer via PM while I was looking for my own stuff....For obvious reasons, that won't happen anymore. Just an example.

so your too stubborn to try or put forth a effort ( to push a button ) or am I missing something ?

Sorry guys I just do not see the problem,I like the less clutter,I mean you goto the grocery store and have to goto the meat dept for meat and there it all is according to catagory, same for the fruit / vegatble sections, but then ya get to the deli and ya have to stop and go through all the different stuff because it is all mixed up in one case....

Give peace a chance....:p

Lame thread, I vote FOR keeping the FS/FT and WTB forums separate, makes things much easier.

I added a poll and it didn't post. If I attempt to edit the op I can edit my poll but it still doesn't show up. I'm sure it's user error.

Your missing something bro.
The problem isn't that anyone is lazy.

The problem is that ppl that have the stuff that others wtb arent visiting the WTB section.
When I had my wtb in the old format I would get offers out the yipyap.

Now when you post a wtb, your lucky if you even get a bump.
Look at Jens thread as an example.

(Sorry for premature post)

I can see that WTB threads will get less hits, unless you are specifically looking to sell something and hop over there. That said, searching is MUCH better that it used to be, and finding the right thread(s) is much easier.

You are dead on Skip. It's not about being lazy at all....it's a matter of fact for me!!!

Maybe other folks just haven't experienced it yet. I aso see a few folks still posting WTB threads in the FS Forum. I'm sure the Mods will correct that soon.

I dislike the whole splitting up of ATOT and FS/FT

If I had something to sell that I didn't want to post an ad for.. I would just search the forums for WTB

Really.. how do you clog up the internet.. leave it the way it was.. If it aint broke then??

i pretty much hate the split forums. i would NEVER click the wtb forum when i was trying to sell something, i'd just post it on fs/ft.

at least when wtb and fs were combined, if i was just browsing fo rsomething i needed, it was at least POSSIBLE for me to just glance over and see a WTB post asking for something i needed. i generally made combo FS/WTB posts but the whole... i can see the post while looking at FS posts is probably what i think was better about combined forums, since i'd never go to the new seperate WTB forum if i was going to sell something. I'd just post it in fs/ft.
