Im thinking of buying barton 2500+ because i heard it was pretty ez to oc. Im prolly gonna OC it to 3200+. If you guys can help, please let me know all the different brands of mobo will work w/ OC'd barton 2500+. Thanks
Basically any mobo that does support a real 3200+ will work with an overclocked 2500+. The question is, if u can get your 2500+ to a 3200+ and still be all stable ...
yup most anything should do. although for OCing 2500+s, i think most on here have either the abit nf7- series or asus a7n8x- series. the shuttle a35ultra is a good budget choice.
Abit NF7-S has an option for detecting your 2500 Barton as a 3200 as a default setting. So yeah, my choice would be the NF7-S. But you have to get some PC3200 RAM that runs at a 200MHz BUS and make sure you've got adequate cooling on there.
