On top of that, you said you spent a couple of hundred on something for work. That was your own pocket money, wasn't it? If it was, that's something you should've put off until after school was taken care of.

if its anything like my school, people will be dropping and adding classes all throughout the first week, so you should be ok, just keep watching for openings (especially if its an online course registration system)
