WSUS not pushing all updates

I have WSUS configured to get all security updates for the OSes we use (XP and win2k3) but for some reason when I perform an update, then go to the windows update site, there is still like 20 updates there. Why is this? I have all the proper product/classifications selected.

it's possible that the actual file is not located in the WSUScontent directory. go to a computer having problems pulling down updates and take a look at the windowsupdate.log file. post what you find and i'll try to help you.

This is not specific to one machine, but I could post a log anyway next time I get the chance to check it out.

Did you do a search for the missing update (KB) on your WSUS server to see if it was approved or not?

good question, I'll have to check that. I'm pretty sure I approved everything accross the board, but I will try searching by KB, maybe I missed some stuff.

Make sure when you approve the update you also set a deadline to ensure the update actually gets installed.
