Alright forgive the noobness of the question-- I haven't been doing this too long and I really have little experience with GPO's.
With that said, I'm trying to get two groups of computers as configured in Active Directory (Main PC's and Servers) to have separate update policies with regards to restarting after updates are installed. For the Main PC's I want them to restart after automatically installing the updates... I set the appropriate policies in the Windows Update section of the WSUS Policy. For the servers, I want them to not restart. We've just had the policy set to not restart anything at the entire domain level given the importance of keeping the servers up, but my boss doesn't really like that, so he asked if I could change it.
I know it's possible and I have an idea that I think might be correct. I created 2 new policy objects and added the servers and pc's respectively one by one (statically) into the security filtering pane on the right. Is that the correct way to get them to apply to only the computers listed?
Thanks for your help.
