Do top players ever pay someone to sit around the tables and take notes about betting patterns and shown hands?

Cause anyone can observe a table....for 7.5 million or even 1 million it'd be well worth it to pay a kid 6 bucks an hour to take notes on your opponents betting patterns

I am sure that the players are allowed to keep notes themselves. I remember seeing Raymer last year taking notes. I am pissed though because right on ESPN.com it tells who the winner is this year. I HATE SPOILERS.
