looking at getting a wireless router and the local radio shack might have a LinkSys WRT54GX2 for $49.99.

Any thoughts on it? or should i get something else?

Good is Not the issue, it works, but being one of these MIMO as if devices poise some stragic decision.

See here, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#MIMO

In short, in order to benefit from the MIMO you need to buy an expensive MIMO card.

Otherwise, this Router is a ?Lame Duck? expensive 802.11g Router.

Yap this Router with its matching card cost few month ago about $200.

It is on sale for $50 because it time to get rid of it and clean the shelves from "Lame Ducks".

Or, and, offer the Router for $50, explain to the customer that to act as MINO he needs the MIMO card, which they still sell for $99. I.e Router and Card for $150.

I am just giving info so that you can make an educated decision; if you just want a plain 802.11g Router, you might find better deals.

It's an excellent box and I use about 10 of them.

It has one fault which is if the power goes out you must manual switch it back on.
