I've been trying to contact Linksys for days, but my phone keeps on dieing after being on hold for an hour and a half.

Aside from the "I hate Linksys" comments. I would like some help as to how to make this work all the time once my PC is turned on.

Model: WRT54GS w/Speed Booster.
Version: 6.0
Firmware: 1.51.0
O/S: Vista Business.
Vista's Firewalls: Already tried turning them off.
Restarted route+PC after firmware upgrades, still nothing.

Even though the router is Wireless, I have my 2 PC's wired into the router. Nothing else is using it.

have you tried renewing your ip manually just after booting? I doubt its actualy takeing 20 minutes for vista to communicate with the router asking for an ip, most likely vista is waiting almost 20 minutes before asking, or it is asking before it is ready then not asking again for a while.

I have a 10MB internet connection and have noticed my internet is much slower since installing Vista. I'm hoping that some new drivers will solve the problem shortly. Now I only get about 3MB speeds.

I cannot access linksys's ip address during the first 20minutes, it doesn't even detect a router when I put the IP in.
