Using the latest firmware Alchemy-pre5.1 from Sveasoft. I'd like to set up ddclient ( www.dyndns.org/services/dyndns/clients ) to automatically email me the IP address each time it changes from comcast. I'm not interested in dynamic DNS, i simply just want to know the new IP address via email when it gets released/renewed on the WAN port.
Has anyone set this up in WRT54G/S before? Can you share how you've set it up? I've already got the tarball on my router, and untarred it, but following the directions to copy the file to /sbin does not work, it barks at me about a file system issue. I'm thinking i need to copy it elsewhere, just not sure.
