Do I have a problem with my DNS ? I can connect to the router/wiredAP, and I can connect to the AP wireless(SameThing). I can ping 66.102.7.147 Google, on wired and wireless . The problem is I cant connect to the internet... I am using the same settings as my 802.11b router but my GSRouter I cant get Internet. I turned off fire wall, security blablabla just to connect but I cant get internet.....AP connection is fine on wired and wireless. I know it must be a Pebkac situation.

can someone offer me some suggestions please.

Thanks

thanks Sleepwalker, the linksys website seems to be constantly under contruction. Its hit or miss .

I do appreciate your fast responce. : )

Well netset said I did not meet the minimum requirements, so now I'm hot plugged to my modem. I'm now connecting back to my befw11s4v4

I can connect to my AP and ping google with both wired and wireless , But I can not connect to Internet , Hmmphhh.

I still think it's a DNS error .

hmm well i wouldn't understand why you aren't getting a dns then. try upgrading the firmware on the wrt54gs or try a reset.

try an nslookup from your prompt of choice (dos or *nix)

if your DNS is resolving, you'll get something like

Default Server:<<some DNS for your ISP>>
Address:<<IP to that DNS>>

then you can type
set q=any
www.yahoo.com

see if it resolves... hope it helps.
