happy new year guys!

i'm trying to help my housemate configure his new linksys router so that the PC we want to have in the DMZ always gets DHCP'd the same IP (based on the MAC). i've done this before on a dlink wifi router, but i cant seem to find the right tab in the linksys ... i've read the manual from front to end ... am i missing something? can the wrt54g assign IP's based on the MAC address? ie. only the NIC with MAC xxxxx will get assigned yyyyy IP.

it might be able to, but I don't recall how to set it up off the top of my head. The way I always do it is to put the IP in the DMZ, and then don't let the computer use DCHP, just manually assign it an address outside of the router's DHCP range.

It doesn't matter for what type of equipment you use, if you want a the same IP always given it is best to do a static asignment, and remove that IP from your DHCP IP Scope.
