My current rig just does not cut it for reccomended gaming specs any more(ok i was playing world of warcraft for the last few years, i admit it), Ive got about $800 to upgrade with and am thinking i want to keep my current ram, here are the specs:
Asus k8n
AMD athlon XP 3000+ 754
ATI AIW 9800pro AGP
2x512 Corsair XMS Dual Channel 3200 w heatsink
Seagate 300gb IDE 150
Looking into this combo:
[*]Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 2.40GHz Processor with Fan

EVGA 7950 gt ko 512 gddr3 on sale this week for $299 at my local fry's(expires tommorrow)
I have a $20 off Coupon for TD that expires tommorrow.
Any thoughts? Im not an overclocker, prefer to stick with asus/amd and I have an offer on my current rig minus the ram(with some ddr2700 instead) for $300, would this last me another 16 months?
