Wrong FedEx Tracking Number?

Hey, I won a bid for a laptop in an auction, and the guy was from another country. The FedEx tracking number he gave me was 10 digits long, and I'm thinking that this is a couple digits too short. Am I missing something, or is there another place to go to track these 10-digit international packages?

Oh, and another question. I'm RMA'ing a board to Newegg. Do I have to package it before I go to FedEx or can I just show up to FedEx with the motherboard box and have them package it there? Sorry... I've never FedEx'ed anything before.

Well, normally, I would say you need to pack the package before you go to Fedex... but they have a box that is like the perfect size for a Motherboard, maybe a little bigger... That's how I've have recieved some of my motherboards sent from Newegg....

I suppose reusing the fedex box they sent me from Newegg would not be considered a kosher thing to do?

I think it's fine to re-use the FedEx box. Just make sure you removed all the FedEx stickers. They'll charge you a minimum $1.50 for doing the packaging and taping for you. That's what I saw on the sign when I went to FedEx two days ago.
