Written assignments, low or high contrast writing utencil?

Any idea which one plays in my favor if at all?

I could say that low contrast writing utencil like an ordinary pencil would show that you've completed the work and get checked off as full credit, but the grading TA might get annoyed with hard to read writing and mark you down.

On the other hand, high contrast writing utencil like a black gel pen makes it very easy to read, but makes it easier for them to catch your minor errors, such as being one digit off.

always high contrast. A professor once said: If I can't read it, I'm gonna guess. And I'm a very bad guesser.
