Gosh. I started on September 3rd for my early action MIT app due on Nov. 1st. I reused the essay so I took a good week off before revisiting it again for my UC apps which I turned in early on Nov 22nd because it was basically my MIT app with a few additions/revisions. Took a good 3 - 4 days off before I started hammering away at that USC essay due on 12/1? It was basically my UC essay + more words. Then I started a whole new essay in addition to my 3 essay package for StanFUrd which I barely finished in time on 12/15. Took a long@$$ break and revised a few more things for my private school apps. Needless to say... applying for 20 schools was retarded, but I was amazed how good my essays were by the end... =]

I just finished writing up my college application materials... and I feel the exact same way. I don't like writing about myself and my interests, accomplishments, experiences and what have you. But sometimes you've just got to suck it up and do it. I guess.
