I just got an LG Vu and I was wondering if there is any websites showing how to design applications for touch cell phones.

I am assuming that it would be some sort of Java Mobile version but would need to find some kind of API/Lib for touch ability.

Also i read that most of the menu's are done in Flash, does that mean all the base applications run off flash also.. i.e. like the calculator, unit conversion?

Any links for starters in mobile programming.

Thx, but not exactly anything specific to general cell phone programming other than Windows Mobile OS and Android... I'm not new to programming so maybe only some of those Java tutorials will get me somewhere.

thx

Depends on the platform. What is it running? The three major platforms are Symbian, Windows CE, and Android.

Not sure about the OS... Don't think it is running a full fledged OS such as WinCE or Android, assuming LG specific env/os. I believe the interface is all flash and most application are java. I am looking into NetBeans IDE for JavaME.

The LG Vu runs a proprietary OS with a Java VM for apps. Sorry, I can't help you with the API for the touch screen - is it open to the public?
