Background: I'm the president of a student organization that links kids up with internships for the summer. This winter we threw a social event to foster networking. A company that we work with to do internships offered to pay for the event. We accepted. I need to write a thank you letter. I wasn't involved in the whole process so i'm not quite sure how much money they actually provided.

This is what I have so far.

Dear Sponsor:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for providing __________ for our winter social event on (date of social).

(Need filler here, maybe two or three sentences. Some thing like "with out your support, the event couldn't be possible)

Once again, on behalf of the INSCA Board I would like to thank you for providing __________. Need filler sentence here thanking them but in different words than the one i used above. Final thank you sentence here, mention that we've included a token of our appreciation.

Sincerely,
Accrued Expenditure
President of Board

Normally i'm able to spit these out like its nothing but i'm not thinking straight today...

Thanks!

Here's a start for you:

Dear Sponsor:

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for providing the necessary funds for our winter social event on January 20th, 2005.

The event was a wonderful success and without your generosity we could not have accomplished our goal of having our winter social. Allowing the students here to network with each other and industry leaders has provided valuable insight to those students and many possible internship opportunities.

Once again, on behalf of the INSCA Board I would like to thank you for providing your generous contribution. There is no way this event could have been a success without you. As a modest token of our appreciation, we?ve included a BLAH BLAH BLAH (whatever you are including.

Sincerely,
Accrued Expenditure
President of Board

You guys should consider a thank you gift... something like a frame picture of your members or of the event itself. Even a card with everyone signatures would be a nice touch.
