Hello!
First of all, this is what I am talking about. I am curious how large a performance difference I will get if any if I enable both of those check boxes.(I do have a UPS and my PC is very stable and all of my data is backed up) My next question is that I've already tried to enable both of them, but the setting doesn't stick. If I check both boxes and click OK but go and look at that window again, the boxes are unchecked again. I saw that other people have had this issue. Does anyone know how to fix it?
And finally, I want to know if I should enable optimize for performance for my Readyboost drive since I never remove it from my PC.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just saw the "this device does not allow its write cache setting to be modified" I guess that explains why I can't enable it on my primary drive, probably because of Raid. In that case, I still would like to know if it would be better for me to enable write caching on my readyboost drive or not. Also if anyone has any insight on the write caching for hard drives, I'd still be interested in learning more about it(Mainly just what kind of performance increases it has, I know the basics of what it does).
