A
A back

B
B back

I like the copper/orange accents on A, but B strap configuration isolates your skin from temperature sensor for more accurate reading. Additionally, B comes with spare elastic strap for placing outside of bulky snow jacket, for example.

BTW fuck you your cell phone doesnt have altimeter functions

what do you need a barometric altimeter for? are you a mountain climber above 10000 feet, a pilot in an un-pressurized plane? or just one of the dudes that wears north face jackets because of the logo?

i dont see much of a difference btw. the watches you linked. i would probably go with the black one but i like nylon webbing straps for work watches, no buckle to get cought on stuff, takes a lot longer to get smelly than leather.

-yes
-pressured, but i fly often and appreciate the 29 time zones w/ 33 preset cities
-i dont like north face so i wear golite for the logo

id prefer if either came with a true resin strap. the resin on my gshock is indestructible

I can't tell any functional differences. They look like the same exact watch with different colors. If they are, then I'd go with the one with the least obnoxious color scheme, which would be A.

I see these are both solar watches.

Something to consider when buying one of these is the internal capacitor/battery which charges from light, typically doesn't last as long as a regular battery would.

I went through two solar watches. Both lasted less than a year before the battery failed to hold a charge.

Really? My watch has lasted over 8 years and still holds a decent charge albeit about half as good as brand new (lasts a day or two of no direct light before the second hand stops, minute hand still keeps time as normal) . This being a citizen ecodrive.

You 'went through' two watches? Why not just replace the battery?

Gaudy? It looks like most outdoor gear I've seen. These are not dress watches. :p

OP: I recently purchased this
http://www.feedthehabit.com/ou...ltimeter-watch-review/

It's the 08 model, and I got it 50% off from REI outlet. Unfortunately it's no longer there, but you should be able to find a good deal somewhere.

Haven't used it yet, but it got rave reviews on REI and elsewhere.

Where's the option that don't make you look like a 12 year old?

Those things are female deterrents - wtf do you need an altimeter for in a commercial jet, it will tell you you're sitting near sea level.

Yep. Other nice thing about it is that mine came with a screen protector already on. Didn't even notice it at first, so I got really pissed when it came out of my pocket apparently scratched by my keys, until I held it at the right angle and saw the small telltale air bubbles. :p

The strap design is different between them. If you're going to use it as a rugged outdoors watch get B. The leather band on A will rot easily. If you're not into outdoors stuff, why is it you're looking at these watches?
