Question WPA3 routers - are they ready, and vendors holding them back until support appears in a released version of Windows 10?

Supposed to be supported in the 19H1 version of Windows 10.

I just thought of the possibility, that the reason we haven't see the WPA3-capable routers yet from the major vendors, is because they are intentionally holding them back, due to lack of support for the new features in Windows. And that if they released them NOW, people would buy them, and then say, "Well, I can't use that shiny new feature, this router is going back." And return them en-mass.

Most routers have a combo encryption mode (WPA/WPA2), usually enabled by default, and I would be surprised if WPA3 didn't allow for such a measure.

We don't see any WPA3 wifi adapters announcements yet.

Well, seems Intel Wireless AC-9260 is the only adapter that passes WPA3 certification.

Intel doesn't even advertise the product is WPA3 capable on it's spec sheet.

Or WPA3 support on the client side only requires OS (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android) update?

My Synology RT2600ac router added WPA3 with a recent firmware update. I don't use it because I have no devices that support it, but it can be configured in WPA2/WPA3 mode, or OWE
