OK, I am unclear, will you still have product activation in windows XP Professional retail version? Is there a different professional version taht will be sold to companies, or will all professional versions not have wpa? thanks!

This is the deal as I understand it.

For average joe, whatever verison he purchases, he will have to activate it.

For the corporates with small licences, they will still have to activate it.

For the large corportates with huge volume licences, they will not have to activate it.

In otherwords, the purchases of large volume licences will get the verison that bypasses the WPA.

Of course, there are those, that have WinXP Corporate already 😉 which has no WPA!
