It entirely depends on whether storage starts at 32GB and whether battery life is like a RAZR Maxx. If both are true, then it's worth losing a removable battery and SD slot.

The battery I can see but really how much space on a phablet does a micoSD slot take?

Oh I think it ought to have a slot but if it had 32+ GB of internal storage then it's not as big a deal plus I don't have to deal with the split storage. Ideally it'd have everything of course.

Definitely agree with others that this is probably one of the best looking HTC phones that I've seen. Hopefully this (along with the One X) signals a turn around for the company.

Had a 5 inch device with fixed battery for close to three years now - it's not really a problem. Most people will not keep these things for longer than 24 months, before recycling them anyway.
Lack of SD-card is a bit annoying. But then I never used the one in my 32GB 5" device. Despite carrying some films around.
USB-mass storage support would make this almost a non-issue anyway.

It depends on your usage I suppose. I definitely want some expandable storage unless the phone comes with about 80gb of storage.

The update says the phone pictures are just a concept design. So I'll save my excitement until it's real.

It's a super far-out hope but if the rumor of multiple Nexus devices this winter is true, I'm hoping one of them is a Note-like one. I'll ditch my Note in a heartbeat.
