If this is the real image of HTC new phablet, The Note II might be a second thought.
This is by far HTC bext looking phone since the HD2.
All glass on the front(no plastic around the glass), little to no bezels on the side.
S4 pro ?? 1080p ?? Maybe ??
Even if its not 1080p, this phone will be barely bigger than the GS3.
I would easily choose this over the Note II purely on size.
HTC really need something like this to get people to notice their products again.

Honestly, that looks sexy.

But I question whether a device like this is needed. Maybe I have small hands but even I think the Galaxy Nexus is slightly too big. It's also uncomfortable in the pocket(I wear jeans).

I just can't imagine having to hold this thing and putting it in my pocket.

That does look nice. Even though I'm not part of it, there is a decent market for this size of device and it's good to see some competition.

That phones' design looks great!

That being said, I would never want a phone that huge in my pocket. I prefer a much smaller phone.

would like some flagship 4.5" or smaller phones being announced...

No kidding. I'm with you there but it look like its not happening.
We are more likely to see a premium 4.5"+ phone in a 4.3" footprint in the future than actually seeing a premium 4.3" phone.
Everytime I see a nice 4.3" phone, its always inferior specs(i.e. non-hd screen.)

iPhone 5 is not premium enough for you guys?

The iPhone 5 is nice indeed.
Even with a 2yr old design it still look good but I hoping for a new design.
The thing I was disappointed the most was the elongated screen.
I liked the old 3:2 ratio of past iphones.
Even though it was 3.5", it was wide enough .
I would have much prefered Apple making a 4" iPhone with the same 3:2 ratio.

Heres another spy shot of it.
Looks like the press photo above.
Sad that it might be a Verizon exclusive..
Also sad that it might be non-removable battery and no SD card slot.
Does HTC ever learn from their mistakes ??

For android users that have an already established app library and such, no... it's not even a consideration.

No SD slot would indeed be a mistake if there's no 64gig version. I can live with the non removeable battery as long as it's >3000mAh like the Razer Maxx.

Even at 32GB, I think thats plenty for a phone. 16GB is cramped though.

Ditto on the battery. At 5", there's plenty of space for a nice large juice pack. Doesn't always happen though, see the LG Optimus Vu/Intuition. 5in@4:3 with a 2080mah battery.

i never experience my 4.3" Rezound screen being an issue... I can't imagine ever wanting 5" on a phone. This thing looks beautiful but I would not want it in my pocket.

I just want a sexier Rezound... 4.3" 720p is awesome. Phones a little chubby and the official ICS for it is a joke though.

What aboot the xiaomi mi2? http://android-sale.com/xiaomi-mi2.html
$399 gets you a s4 pro, 2gb ram, 4.3" 720p screen, seems like its att compatible.

True. I think there's a growing audience asking for a 4.0-4.5" phone most likely around 4.3-4.5 from the big manufacturers: Samsung or HTC. Possibly LG. The same goes with a Nexus phone.

It's fine they make 4.8" phones and monster 5"+ phones also, but the market for 4-4.5" is wide open.

Even with the iPhone ramping to 4" there's still a market out there.

Unfortunately phones have gotten so big I'm wondering if a smaller phone can still pack it all in the same package? Something's gotta give when you go back to a smaller phone. Battery? Camera? Crappy specs?

Don't care.

Opti G, Note 2, One X-5. Could be an interesting time.

I still don't care unless its a Nexus.

I don't care about those either, my hand doesn't grow every year and using these things single handily is becoming bothersome.

it looks too much like a render anyway. not sure why everyone was so excited to begin with.

Because it looks nice and has killer specs. Plus there isn't a ton of competition in the 5"+ market so a lot of people are looking forward to more choices that size.

Is the non removable battery and lack of sd card slot worth a pretty unibody design?

Man, I wish HTC would stop trying to be apple.
