Got my new 7200.8 16mb cache (temp drive) while I RMA my 250gb 7200.8...

C = xp 32-bit (16gb)
D = xp 64-bit (16gb)
E = crap (~123gb)
F = more crap (~123gb)

G, H, I, J = Same as above except this is on the 250gb 7200.8, so the latter 2 drives = 100gb only

Hitachi 160gb PATA
K = 16gb bAckup XP
L = 70gb of crap
M = 70gb more crap

N, O = card reader.. I have an MS Pro Duo in and a CF card sitting in there right now

P = NEC 3540 DVDRW
Q = TDK VeloCD CD-RW

CDEF = copy of GHIJ for now. I dont think I'll bother installing XP 64-bit, for simplicity sake. I'm only keeping this drive for fewer than 30 days becuase I need to return it by then. Stupid Seagate refuses to give me advanced RMA for my 250gb, meaning I have at least 200gb of data I need to backup SOMEWHERE...

Maybe... you shouldn't have created all those partitions :)

maybe... it's time to use DVD's...

I've never known anyone who did dual-boot with XP 64-bit and XP 32-bit, but it actually makes a lot of sense

Big deal. I have one 100GB drive, three 200GB drives, and one 300GB drive.

Making 6 drives appear as one (Striped HW RAID5) is better. ;)

especially when the raid array fvcks up and you lose all your data, never to be recovered :thumbsup:

some guy in the general forum (I think) was saying his mirror array stopped working, and he wasn't even able to access the data on each drive individually without the array..? (even tho that is the point of mirroring)
