Wowaweeza! New speakers sound excellent but I have a problem

Hey, I just picked up a set of Z-5300e from this guy off craigslist last night for 40 bucks. They sound great and are a huge improvement over my Z-640's. However, this guy's house smelled kind of wierd and I just noticed they've put a strange smell in my room. Any suggestions for odor removal? I tried spraying febreeze around but the smell is still noticeable. Thanks

Fabreeze will knock that right out. Blow them out with air or run a vacuum with a brush attachment over them too.

Open them up and take his stash out of them.

Make a really light bleach cleaning solution. About a capfull in a gallon of warm water with some dishsoap. Clean the outside and that could eliminate most of the smell.

wash the speaker grilles. Im sure much of the crap is being stored in the cloth.
