My school's Direct Connect (file sharing thing)...was killed last night by the powers that be and we all decided to have a little get-together on the steps of college ave to mourn. hehe..

it was fun beyond all fun..and SO many people showed up!! After we were kicked out by the cops (b/c it was late ahd we were loud..what do u expect from over 150 ppl?)...a bunch of us went to a diner and hung out there.

didn't get back til 3 last night. so fun!!!

b/c of the flash though....pics came out kinda dark but you can still see how many people showed up to this thing.

At first..there weren't that many

Turned into this!


Cop talking to leader dude..telling us to leave

vinny and i have the same camera!

Next time you should burn things since they have infringed on your constitutionals rights and attempted to prevent illegal sharing of files.

Those are my people getting out on the street in defense of the information theoretic law that mp3 and porn wants to be free and spread over Internet 2 yeah . Fsck the RIAA and the MPAA. Why did they shut down the connection.

Actually....the school was "ok" with it for almost 3 years..kinda like the "out of sight, out of mind" saying.

but some asshole kid decided to write a complaint so the school had no choice but to shut it down.

Look like yall had fun. I was in NJ a few years back and drove past Rutgers U. Nice school. Next time, burn a bra or two. You know, the rebel spirit of the 60s..LOL

O and Long Live DC, my school had several, One that was shut down by the DC hub owner cause of a newspaper article that involved him and One that was shut down by the school officials, considering the idiot who was running it was running it off of a stolen NIC with a library registered MAC address. And the last one that was anyoumously run just dissappeared one day and never came back.

Now I'm tring to find a Pure P2P program that will not connect outside of the intranet. Since P2P would be impossible to shutdown unless the school goes after everyone whos connected.
