WOW...walmarts CD selection

I was just out at walmart browsing for something to spend ~$40 on and their CD selection is incredible
They had Pink Floyd CDs besides The Wall and Dark Side of the Moon. They also had Meddle, Momentary Lapse of Reason and Echoes. As for GNR, they had Appetite for Destruction, not just greatest hits.

And its not just CDs. They had a TON of old computer games. They had Doom 1 & 2 with all expansion for $10. Also the HL1 bundle.

So how much walmart stock do you own? Or do you just work there?

you sound like a commercial.

Except they only sell edited versions, so screw them.

I'm not a big fan of vulgarity, but I like getting my music the way it was written.

Is there any way to tell from looking at the CD's if they have been edited? Always wondered that...

it will say something like "edited version" on the top label

If you see a gansta rap artists on the cover and it DOES NOT have a parental advisory sticker, then it's edited.

Walmart CD's usually say "CD Title - EDITED" on the sticker on top of the CD

The only place I could find music I actually listen to was an online music store based in Russia. WTF.

Are the videogames edited too? Someone told me that but I don't believe him.

I never shop there so I can't verify.....

No, at least not yet. I wouldn't be suprised if they would be in the future, but for now, games and movies remain un-edited at Wal-Mart.

You do have to show ID to prove you're of the proper age for whatever game you're getting though. I don't think they even check for movies though. You would think that the movies would get just as much consideration, and that they could just do the same for music (require ID, but whatever.

There is talk in non-gaming gaming circles to have non-vulgar versions sold. I am betting Wal Mart is hedging on it.
