Wal-Mart announced that they will soon be offering customers a new discount item: Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Wal-Mart brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for cheap wine", said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing. She also said, "But the right name is important."

Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the Wal-Mart brand.

The top 10 surveyed names in order of popularity are:

10. Chateau Traileur Parc
9. White Trashfindel
8. Big Red Gulp
7. World Championship Riesling
6. NASCARbernet
5. Chef Boyardeaux
4. Peanut Noir
3. I Can't Believe It's Not Vinegar!
2. Grape Expectations
1. Nasti Spumante

The beauty of Wal-Mart wine is that it can be served with either white meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel).

I am a fan of the NASCARbernet myself. Be careful though, with all the advertising on the plastic jug, you might not know if your drinking wine or engine cleaner.

I am sure the White Trashfindel would be their top seller, just beating out Boone's farm.

On a serious note, (at least in Virginia) it would seem (to me) Walmart's wine prices are in fact slightly higher than both regular grocery stores and wine speciality stores for the same bottle of wine.

The White Trashfindel goes really good with White Castle burgers!!!

Also, I buy a lot of my liquor at Sams Club (They have a nice wine selection too, but I'm no wine expert).

Also, Mead is tasty. (I am drinking it for the first time today)

FSCK Wal-Mart.
They are a huge employer, whos labor practices and low wage paying schemes are an attocity.
They are the shame of america, as a corporation, as far as I am concerned.

The lowest prices come at a price, for all of us

They also provide low cost goods there by making my dollar more valuble.

The pay the same as other CHAIN MEGA RETAILERS. and offer health benifis as well as company stock purchase.

If you need low skill you don't need to bow to the unions and pay through the nose.

Who should make more. A teacher or a checker at ralph's?

Who does make more?
