Wow...USPS tracking sucks compared to UPS and FedEx

All USPS says is "package was accepted, blah blah". It gives no indication on possibly delivery date. Whereas UPS tells you that plus all the steps it's going through so you can track it's progress. Come on USPS get on the ball, it's 2005!

Ok, it's a weak rant but it's early and I'm tired.

Ya, I guess. I don't follow the terms to much, I just put my "tracking number", although I guess according to USPS it's just a delivery conf. number, on the website and that's it. It makes me want to smash my computer screen.

USPS doesn't 'track' -- that's why the sticker says "Delivery confirmation."

;)

USPS is often more expensive than FedEx.
No it's not.

2lb box sent from 90210 to 30309 by ground:
AirBorne Ground - $4.82
USP Ground - $4.49
UPS Ground - $7.25
FDX Ground - $5.18

by 2 day air:
FDX 2nd Day - $14.94
UPS 2nd Day Air - $15.55
AirBorne 2nd Day - $10.35
USP Priority Mail - $5.75

UPS isn't much better. I have an envelope en route, and UPS' tracking is horrible. No estimated time of delivery which erks me since I need to be about 40 miles away to pick it up (being sent to old address).
At least with FedEx they give you a couple hour window of when it should arrive. Looks like tomorrow will be the second Friday in a row I call in to wait for a package delivery.
