Wow tomb raider doesn't seem like such a bad movie anymore.

Yuck yuck yuck yuck.
I saw AI today.

Holy damn is that a bad movie. Sadly it makes Tomb Raider look like it should win some awards of some sort.

What's with all the crappy movies lately?

I will wait for both to come out on Video, then I will probably not rent them. I have heard they both suck.

i cant really pin down why i didnt like A.I.
because normaly i really like movies like that.

id say about 2/3 of the way through the movie, i was still really enjoying it. so maybe the movie was just too long. I really REALLLLYYY tried to like this movie, but much of the movie just didnt hold my interest.

It's hard to say why I disliked it so much.

It's just seems really really long and dull when you are watching it.
There's a moment or two that are decent (the parts with the least speilburg influence I would say), but for the most part nothing really interesting happens.

I kind of like Gigalo Joe though. Hehehehe he's pretty kick ass ;)

I want that Gigalo Jane (or whatever she's called). ;) She was a hottie.

It's strange. I've been reading a lot of people's comments on this movie and it seems like the majority hated it. But I loved it and my tastes in movies usually agree with the majority. So this is one of the few times that I really liked a movie but the majority seems to hate it. I think it's a masterpiece. It worked for me both on an emotional and intellectual level. :)

Act 1, and Act 2 are perfect. Act 3 starts out good, but then drags on an unneeded 30 minutes. I liked the movie, it was better than anyother movie Ive seen this summer(Mummy 2, Shrek, just about all of them). It seems 50% love it, and 50% hate it. It has sluggish a box office, if it does well on the 4th it should break $200million(ie: more than Pearl Harbor, Tomb Raider). No movie will come close to Shrek though, its been almost two months and it is still pulling in close to $8million a weekend, 15million/week. It may just break $300million.

I thought it was pretty good. It didn't have the substance I expected, but it was still a good movie, IMO. I really liked the score of the film also.

I was really disappointed by A.I. Osment and Law were excellent, it looked good, but the script was a mess and the story had huge plot holes in it. I give it 5/10.

It's better than Tomb Raider though. That was really a mess. Angelina=HOT!. Movie=SUCK!

Honestly, I not suprised a lot of people don't like to the movie. I'm not really talking about people in this forum, but for a lot of people there's too much story for them. It's a character driven movie about a long journey. Most of the important aspects of the movie weren't blasted in your face. I don't think most people liked it because of that. They actually have to think about the content of the film.

I think similar experiences happen to all sorts of people. For example, I was surprised when many didn't find The Prince of Egypt the best movie of 1998. Some people get some movies while others don't, and vice-versa.

But to say that Tomb Raider is better than A.I.... uh... no. Heaven forbid we should think about what we see. :Q
