I know people that have gotten addicted to online poker. Its not a good thing!

Bullsh|t.

I know people who are addicted to driving. Driving must not be a good thing! I know people who are addicted to milk. Yes, milk. Milk must not be a good thing! I know people who are addicted to adrenaline. Adrenaline must not be a good thing!

If you're addicted to driving what are the consequences of doing it too much? Drinking milk?

The only thing on that list that has a real consequence is adrenaline. Otherwise, none of those otherthings have consequences.

Being addicted to gambling (online or offline) can have extreme consequences. You'd be stupid to think otherwise.

Gambling can easily turn into a money pit, yes. Is that what you're referring to?

1)Read and understand "Winning Low Limit Hold'Em" by Jones, and "Small Stakes Hold'Em" by Miller and Sklansky.

I will also HIGHLY reccommend Jone's book. It's excellent for today's low-limit games with tv couch potatos that are trying to play with no preperation or knowledge of the game. Low limit poker is a different game than high limit or big tournament style play.
