Who knows, stranger things have happened. But I highly doubt that two men would have been "sleeping" if there was a naked cheer leader in their room.

1) being there was a chaperone, did she have her own room?

2) If so, I really doubt two guys are going to be sleeping through a 18yo cheerleader in their room...that seems way odd.

3) they said they weren't cheerleaders themselves, but one time as a wrestler we were practicing and I got launched out of a second story window. I landed on the pool railing and my friend said is sort of looked like a cartoon where you just sort of fall, hit and slide down sinking to the bottom 🙂....He ran down and pulled me out...perhaps they were playing games and she went sailing.

4) regardless of sexual assault happening, it's very possible perhaps they held her over the edge a la Vanilla Ice to get her to consent....

Growing up in Hawaii, I can tell you tourists do some stupid stuff when they get to Hawaii. Girls REALLY let their guards down, and do stuff I'm sure they wouldn't regularly do. I bet she was all excited to be in Hawaii, her excitement clouded her judgement, she got into it with some guys (sex/drugs/alcohol) and now barenaked (that's how they found her on the ground) she takes a dive in a druken/high state....

Maybe she got drunk, met two guys, went up to the room, pulled a finger cuffs, sobered up, realized what she had done, was in utter shock, and committed suicide...

Really wish the article said whether she had alcohol / drugs in her system or not. She could have been drunk and being stupid and fell over, or the guys could have given her the heave ho. We just don't know.

As to not sleeping with a naked cheerleader in the room, she could have gotten naked after they fell asleep.

*edit* second article near the bottom says its likely she was hammered.
