Ok, I'm on a college campus.
Security and the RA's all use the same frequencys.
A guy across campus has a scanner set to those frequency's.
He streams them through shoutcast on the net.
I logon, and listen.
I hear them mention my friends room.
I run up, yell at him, and we have the beer all hidden in about 20 seconds.
There is a knock on the door, and its two RAs who said that the room was too loud, and they were gonna have a look around.
Nothing was found

Cool. If they were smart, they'd simply change frequencies frequently. Unless that student is willing to sit there & re-tune his scanner for the sake of his shoutcast broadcasts... He'd be over & done.

are you nuts? The FCC only gives out a few close frequencies for a licence. In order to change frequency's often they'd have to pay out the ass for extra freq's.

That's freakin great. Back in my day, we simply had to rely upon the RA's being on a very predictable schedule.

back when i was in a boarding school we'd just learn when and where the RA's would be at different times....
