WOW they actually bought out a HSF that can cool down a P4 .. ROFL

damn it works for but i am using windows firewall at the mo 😱 , its your firewall ... what erro message are you getting

^^^ EDIT: check new link ^^^^^

Holy friggin crap, that's insane!

I wonder how many degrees below room temperature that could cool an A64? 😉

with air cooling you can only reduce the cpu to the ambient (room) temperature which is pretty close to impossible, the best you can go for is a few degrees above room temp

That thing may actually be bigger than the Thermaltake Silent Tower that I use🙂
I can no longer say I have the most obnoxious HSF on the market🙁

The former link works nowThat looks like a turbine for a plane
Well I think a SFF PC would hover if the heatsinks are removed

You have to be kidding me. That would never fit into any case if you wanted to keep the side door on.

Thats a good point! My TT silent tower is 11 1/4 inches tall, and in my Tsunami case (pretty roomy) there is about 1/2"-1" of clearance of the side door, no way it would fit in my older smaller case. And using the cigarette pack thats in the picture for scale, it looks like that thing is 12" or maybe even 13" tall. If anyone is considering this HSF get the exact dimensions and measure you case, taking into account the height of the mobo standoffs, the mobo, the CPU socket, and the CPU. I'm guessing there are a lot of cases that wouldn't accomadate this HSF.

it looks like if you had that, your mobo would suddenly tear off while gaming or something. soooooooooo big!

Are you browsing with smileys not enabled?

It was in jest... 🙂

WTF?! I'd never use that unless the motherboard was sitting horizontally in the case or flat on a table.

pretty impressive, but i dont see the point in expensive obstructive air cooling, you may as well go for water or phase if you are that bothered..

you cant help laugh at the size of that thing tho .. i mean i didnt notice that cigarette packet next to it, i was like yeah that looks quite big, hang on .. is that a cigarette packet next to it  ..hahaha .. have a look at the thickness of the heatpipes, they must be like an inch thick

damn right 😉 .. im going to get it then OC the fan to run at 20,000rpm with a car battery and some jump leads, then i will be able to fly around my room in my PC case, it'll be just like Toy Story 😀

Sorry to rain on the parade, but it just looks like a demo model for an expo/conference. They put one of those out on the table so everyone can get a good idea of what it looks like without having to squnt at the smaller version.
