A friend claimed installing this totally messed up his XP install and had to reformat to get his machine working right again.
Is this a known issue or it was just he who fvcked up?

He definitely fvcked up imo, by not imaging the system partition or atleast backing up the system state etc. beforehand.

finally installed, works pretty well cept is there a way to revert the task bar only to normal? not really liking a blackish taskbar.

that and hovering over the system tray icons for the pop up stats doesn't work anymore, they disappear in a snap😛

advantages or cool tweaks?

the way the program icons in taskbar are lighted up when you put your mouse over them is nicer, and a mini picture of the programs window pops up for one

No thanks, I'll keep using XP (with Windows Classic theme) 🙂

I played with a vista computer today at costco, and was bored within about 30 seconds. I will switch to vista when its the SP2-included version is available on CD/DVD.

show us pics of properties of my computer. it looks so much like vista that i admit that i can't tell. (BTW, i had Vista RC2.)

another thing is they add a preview panel at the bottom of the file explorer, its annoying in how it updates, anyway to get rid of it?

Anyone use a double row taskbar? When I maximize my programs, the bottom of the program will under the taskbar.. is there a way to fix this?

I'm having the same problem. Just using single row right now. Besides that it works great.
