oooo...the coolness :)

is this program completely accurate here? like it'll give me a solid/good idea of what hsf unit to buy based on the readings it gives?

It doesn't have several coolers, Volcano II for example. But I picked a similar one and it gave be a temp that was only 1C off what MBM says by CPU is at.

D'oh, just figured out that you can manually add a HSF to the list. Just have to track down each one's C/W value. Easily found at most manufacturers sites.

Cool little proggy, definitely an improvement. FYI you can raise and lower the mhz or volt by opening the processor.dat in notepad and just change the settings. I had to change my voltage to 1.4 cause at default it only goes down to 1.5

A note: most of these C/W numbers are not manufacturer numbers, but Joe @ overclockers.com heatsink-junction numbers. They will vary significantly from actual core/die temp, but will give you heatsink-junction temp.

The way overclockers.com tests it, they are measuring temps at the heatsink-base. Thereofre, it isn't a core temp or die temp read, but it is a "cold-side" junction read. And since the majority of heat that they meausre is from the heatsink, it is a heatsink-temp at cpu junction.
