Wow the best game ever!

Have just played the original half life for the first time in the last 2 weeks and it is my first FPS as well
I am addicted!
Now why have I been playing all these RTS all the time?

Half life is one of the best pc games ever. Doom and wolfenstein rank right up there though too, they started it and were the benchmarks. I bought halo this week and so far I'm not impressed. Single player isn't too bad but the multiplayer is horrible.

be sure to check out the Call of Duty demos. awesome ww2 fps action. the 2nd demo is hard to find but is as good as the first.

I played HL through to the end and overal was fairly diappointed.

Best FPS I have played recenlty is Serious Sam 2. Did not finish it but for just blowing stuff up for a few minutes it's a lot of fun.

Last game I played through to the end was dungeon siege. Loved every single repetitve minute of it.

Wrong! Battlefield 1942 and two expansion packs are the most fun games ever made. It's been scientifically proven by testing 11 monkeys in a laboratory setting Well, it's the most fun game ever to me at least!

i kind of had the same thing happen to me. i played Counter-Strike for years before even thinking "oh, what's the deal with this half-life game i have to install everytime i install counter-strike ?"
i thought the half-life puzzles were tough but the enemies were really easy. i guess that's what playing agains real peeps will do to you.
