Wow, that's annoying

Can someone please go to my house and beat my answering machine into little plastic pieces please? I am trying to get some remote stuff working over my computer and forgot to turn the damn answering machine off...........well, guess I wait another day :|

Many newer answering machines have the ability to enable/disable/change features & settings remotely. I know ours did, even though we haven't used it in probably three years. We could dial in, check our messages, turn the answer on/off, change outgoing messages, & other stuff like that.

Read your manual, you never know what kind of goodies you might find.

I know my machine does have the ability to dial in and turn it off, unfortunetely my computer is also answering, so I have the machine waiting for the code and the computer trying to do handshaking......thus my overwhelming annoyance and feeling of helplessness.......
