Wow, that power supply with the X-Qpack...

Wouldn't even boot with two optical drives plugged in. Booted fine with one. Tried a minimal OC, no boot there either. :disgust:

What a piece of garbage. I just know it's gonna crap out in like a month and take everything with it. Just ordered one of those Antec TruePower 480s today. Couldn't use my old Antec because it doesn't have the 24 pin ATX connector.

Why would they even bother with such a piece of crap?

Ya..they do have a reputation of being marginal power supplies..however if yo get a good on the seem to do ok. I see a lot of posts around with people building on the Qpack box...see some complaints on the PS and then others say it does ok. Could be an issue of substandard components in the supply stream creating unpredictable end products.

I would have been more upset if didn't fit the full size power supplies also. I've just never seen a 420W PS not be able to even boot with only two optical and one hd.

Ya..there are people out there though with this box that are running higher requirements than you though..you just got a bad one but the Antec Truepower 480 will work very nice. I had a truepower 430 and it was able to handle anything and everything I ever threw at it.

It's weird that they're so inconsistent. Mine hasn't given me a hint of a problem, even with two HD's, two optical drives, an overclocked Athlon X2, and an overclocked 6800GS.

I probably could have RMA'd it, but I'd rather have the certainty that my PS can handle anything I throw at it. Sucks too, because it sure looked nice in that case.
