The rear channel on my Z-540's went out. They were nearly 2 years old and I didn't even pay for the darn things. Anyways I called Logitech and today I had a brand new set of X-530's waiting for me. They gave me 5.1 speakers even though I only had 4.1 before.

Its amazing what happens when you actually do what tech support tells you to do.

Wow, I hope my Logitech Products start dying soon :). Maybe I should give them a call about their crappy headset. The damn microphone connected to the earpiece isn't long enough to go in front of my mouth. No one can hear what I'm saying.

just call them. I just called up trying to figure out if maybe something came loose. They didn't seem to care. Their first email back to me said that they wanted to replace my product.

Also of note: I don't have to send my old ones back.

Which pair is it? The big ones that go behind your head? I have those, problem was solved by turning on microphone boost in volume options.

I really wouldn't call it big, but it does wrap behind my head. Product Link I think its that one, it looks like it. Mine came bundled with Guild Wars.

I tried using the Microphone boost, but it didn't help much, even with sensitivity cranked all the way up. I could speak very very loudly and it would pick it up, but I do not feel like I should have to get to the point where I am almost yelling for the microphone to pick it up.

yep. They replied within one business day.

Alright, cool. I'll send an email out to them and see what they say. Thanks :)

Hello. I just bought Guild Wars Collectors Edition for the PC. I mainly got the collectors edition because bundled inside was your Logitech Internet Chat Headset. I needed a headset, so with it bundled with a game I already wanted, it seemed like a perfect deal. I also wanted it so I can use it in other games I play.

My computer detects it just fine, the speaker sound quality is clear. However, I have one problem with the headset itself. The microphone attached to the speaker does not get close enough to my mouth to detect my voice while I am trying to speak. I figured it was like those cell phone headsets that'll pick up what you say even if it isn't close to your mouth, but I have tried numerous settings with microphone boost/sensitivity cranked up in Control Panels and games, and no matter what I try, it is very difficult for the microphone to pick up my voice when speaking normally. It would pick it up if I'm yelling but I find that to be inappropriate in my house.

Simply put, the microphone does not extend far enough from the speaker to my mouth, and it makes it nearly impossible for the microphone to pick up my voice. The headset functions perfectly, but this huge design flaw makes it useless. I feel it is a waste right now.

I own many of your products (mice, keyboard, joystick, speakers), and they all have worked perfectly. I absolutely love the build quality in each one of products. However, this headset was a bit of a disappointment.

I would like to know what options I have to get a different headset. Whether or not I can send this one in for a replacement or whatever procedure you guys use.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks alot,
Jonathan
