It's just WeatherBug.

I put up with it for some reason.

It bitches about upgrading to the latest version every other time I click on it, but I'm afraid of what kind of horrors it will bring.

About the same time, I had my first computer. Inside, was a 105MB Kalok drive which was made in Korea. That darn hard drive sounded like some serious crickets when accessing the disk during reads and writes.

First hard drive I had on a computer at home was a CDC Hawk. About the size of a dishwasher (though not quite as wide). One 5 meg 14" fixed drive platter, one removable 5 meg 14" cartridge. I was told that the write/write head assembly weighed seven pounds. It was a little noisy, too, so I had it (and the AM100 computer it was connected to) running in my clothes closet.
