WoW subscription question

I quit World of WarCraft (cancelled my subscription) about a month ago for personal reasons. However, when I purchased the game I paid for a 6 month subscription that expires on October 22. If I were to sell the game, am I also able to "sell" this subscription? That is, the game is still playable under my account until that day. If so, how do I transfer it. Anyone have insight into this? Would I just change all my contact information to that of the person I'm selling it to after they get the game?

Technically, under the contract you entered into by accepting the TOS after you installed the game (and after every patch) you cannot transfer anything. Selling the game is rather unnecessary, as the account itself is all that matters. If you recall, the only thing you used your CD key for was to make your account. Once you do that, the CDkey is worthless. The client can even be downloaded via bit torrent, so people don't necessarily need the CDs. All of the value lies in the account itself.

Even though it is against the tems of service they entered into, people do sell WoW and transfer accounts. The worst they could do without prosecution for breach of contract, is to ban your account, which doesn't affect the seller all that much. I haven't heard of them prosecuting anyone, and really wouldn't expect that they will.

When you sell black out your character name if you're putting it on eBay. A few of my WoW auctions got removed. Blizzard is cracking down on WoW account selling lately.

Hmm I wasn't aware of this. Not sure why I paid $50 for the game in the first place then. So I might as well toss it then? I mean, I'm not going to play it again. And I deleted all my chars too (again, personal reasons).

I wish Blizzard would come out with a conclusive answer.

according to the ToS, you can sell a game/account, as long as you also uninstall the game from your computer and include the original cd's and cd-key.
