As if a wheel lock would prevent anyone from stealing a 400 lb object.

Two decent size guys could easily lift it into a trailer & away it goes, never having rolled an inch.

The video is a little confusing. The pictures show a parked bike in back of the truck then the bike (I am guesing) loaded inside the trailer. In the video, the truck pulls up with no bike in sight then some guy drives the bike into the picture and up into a trailer. Did they screwdriver the ignition? I thought bikes were stolen by getting physically picked up, not driven away.

The first bike that drives by has nothing to do with the theft.

The second bike at the end of the video is PUSHED to the trailer and lifted in.

Oh, that makes more sense. Thank you.

Most likely the owner didn't lock the bars

Man if this gets on the Atlanta news displaying the logo and truck, they're bound to get caught.

I saw a bike this nice sitting on the side of the highway the other afternoon. It would have been nothing for a few guys in a trailer to stop and get it. Who's gonna suspect it isn't the owner and his friends right?

Made ya kinda wonder if it was a sting operation. I personally liked to think "Glad this stuff doesn't happen around here in this part of the south", but I'm only a few hours away from the OP's linked stolen bike area so that shoots my theory out of the water!

This stuff happens all the time here.

My bet is that anyone that doesn't ride would view it as perfectly normal for someone to be pushing a motorcycle somewhere.

Anyone that leaves their bike on the side of the road is an idiot. I would never, ever, ever do that.

Wouldn't matter if he did. Steering locks are easily defeated with just a little leverage. It takes less than a second to break the lock.

I don't think the owner would be crying 'stolen bike' tho if it were repo'd. ;)
