Wow. Spam just got past my Gmal Filter

I don't know how people actually fall for this. I kind of got suspicious when the Title header was only "Account Information" Usually, there is some sort of Identification. I also got suspicious when the email was Yahoo, considering that this is from the "Bank of America" And Finally, the damn link was the most blatant fake URL I have ever seen. I went to it for kicks, and my AT Virus blocked whatever spam was on that site.

Anyway, is there a way to mess with these people?

Wasn't it Microsoft and Google (or Yahoo?) that publicly stated they planned to roll out a "revenue enhancement" plan where any business could purchase "safe passage" of their email thru their filters?

Effectively saying "free spam = bad, spam that pays us = OK by us".

Oh and as far as doing anything to them, yes they are attempting to commit fraud. Report the email to the fraud dept of the company they are attempting to impersonate. Let that company's legions of lawyers track the spammers down. Its their business image that is being used as phishing bait.

hmm same thing happened to me, except it occured in mail.app. it usually, no 99% of the time removes spam and puts it in my junk folder, but just now, one came through...damn spam.

I get about 10,000 messages per month through my gmail address and get 1 or 2 spam per week that slip through.

I'd rather have 1-2 spam come through everyday than to have 1 a week be marked as spam incorrectly, which has happened before and is extremely annoying.

gmail has not done that to me. Been using it for almost 2 years.

yeah, that slipped through the filter a couple of weeks ago for me, too. it hasn't gotten past it again.

I don't think a single peice of spam has gotten through my gmail filter, ever. But it has cought things that weren't spam, and it didn't make sense why they got blocked...

Most of the phishing e-mails seem to make it to the inbox of my Gmail account
