Errr. I didn't predict anything. All I said is that bragging about your hypnotist and about benching 265lbs when you weigh over 270lbs is silly.

Just read the ESPN.com piece about the fight and they Tyson was winning two of the three scorecards before he quit. Crazy end to a crazy career.

This thread demonstrates that to a tee!

The power of a punch comes from your legs and core, not your arms or chest so it really doesn't matter whether he can bench his weight or not. At 6'6" and 270+ I bet he can pack a wallop.

Not to mention BP favors shorter limbs...

Ummm why? It is still silly to brag about not being about to bench your weight and your hypnotist training. That is all I said. I never made a prediction about the actual fight.

Any reasonable person would agree that you implied that the Irish guy was going to lose. Stop backpedaling.

I'm not backpedaling. I stand by what I said. The guy sounded silly. Period. The end. Wasn't trying to imply anything else.

I didn't think what he said was bragging. He was merely pointing out what he was doing in terms of his fight preperation. The point he's making is that he's bigger and stronger. That's all.

Tyson doesn't train as well as anyone. I remember before his big fight against Lennox Lewis, he said he only started training a few weeks before the fight. He didn't take it seriously at all. That was his last big shot.

He's too heavy now and you can tell that he doesn't work on his cardio much, since he was too tired to continue by the 6th round. He could easily lose 20 lbs to get back to the fighting shape he was in during his prime. He already has knockout power, he should work on his speed and endurance. Having too much muscle saps your endurance and slows you down.

Boxing is like any job. If it's somthing you find rewarding, you are motivated to do the absolute best you can. And like a normal job, if your heart is not in the work, you certainly can't expect to perform at your best. Tysons heart has not been into boxing since his Divorce from Robin Givens. I think his divorce, the death of his mentor and the media have really taken their toll on old Iron Mike.
