Wow, Simcity Societies is best described as a gamer's abortion

This is the only Sim-anything that lasted only one hour of playtime for me before I was done with it.

The worst part is this is such a failure that it will likely be the last Simcity game for many years. It'll probably be a decade now before the series is revived.

Great job EA...

I looked at it at a friends house.
Ugh , its just like I thought, sim city meets the sims.

Looks like about as much fun as a 300 page unix manual.

I think the series reached its peak with 3K. I could never get into 4.

So who wants to step up to the plate and create their own city building game? We could call it 'OpenCity: Fvck EA Edition'

Agreed. There were some good ideas in 4 but the execution felt very un-Will Wrightish.

SIM everything has been crap for a long ass time so this is no surprise.

I did enjoy sending my SIM into his swimming pool, then deleting the ladder so he would panic and make booga-booga noises and drown.

That's the last fond memory I have of any of the SIM series games.

I'll bet you've never played Streets of Simcity, have you? ;)

I'd rather try to influence somethingawful to make their own version and call it SA City. The possibilities seem endless!

Great job EA...

Is it really that bad?

It's really bad for calling it 'Simcity' anything. I suppose on the grand scale, it's only a 4/10...which isn't the worst ever.

I didn't play Streets of Simcity, no, but I even loved Simcopter back in the day.

2k was the best, kinda went downhill after that. I had so much fun getting attacked by aliens in the game =)

It was also the last SimCity game that could run unattended for weeks at a time.
