So about half of the time I close World of Warcraft after playin it for a couple hours, the damn computer has been restarting. Not like a slow, Windows restart, it turns right off, and then starts up again. It only happens when i shut down Wow too, never when I'm playing it. I have a 6600gt and use the latest drivers and have reinstalled Wow, and it still does it. Any ideas of waht to do? If i should give more info on my system I will.

control panel->system, click on the advanced tab, then click on the settings button under Startup and Recovery Options. Uncheck the box next to 'automatically restart'.

I had a problem similar to that. No BSOD, nothing. I tried everything. I replaced hardware, etc. Then, in a random act of frustration, I bumped up the voltage to my RAM a notch. Fixed everything.

I wasn't overlocking, either. Everything was at default. It was with my Gigabyte K8NS-Pro.

My aging system's had a litany of problems that I won't go into (for the most part), but the restart problem started happening to me a while back when I'd Exit from game as opposed to logging out followed byQuit/Back/Etc. So nowadays I just log out my chars first.

Really? I've had RAM probs - especially with my 2nd slot. And lately I've just been under the assumption that my 2nd slot is kaput. How do you/did you increase the voltage?
